Beyonce in 2 Minutes does much more than to boil an egg.
At one of those benefits that only those who know about them tend to be aware of, Beyonce yesterday performed a lightening fast epiphany.
At the “Hand in Hand” benefit for hurricane relief she touched on three issues in a 2-minute statement.
Beyonce, who is from Houston, which was battered by Hurricane Harvey last month said: “Natural disasters don’t discriminate. “They don’t see if you’re an immigrant, black or white, Hispanic or Asian, Jewish or Muslim, wealthy or poor. It doesn’t matter if you’re from 3rd Ward or River Oaks, we’re all in this together.”
Natural disasters forever change lives, she said. Everything has changed, she added.
“Everyone is affected,” she said in the video message with serious but muffled piano music playing in the background.
She said her faith in humanity has been restored by peoples’ actions following the disaster in Houston and after Hurricane Irma.
She alleged that climate change has caused these massive, extraordinary storms and “that we come together tonight to heal.”
She made no comment about 6 million people in Florida without electricity struggling to get through their lives in the dark at night.
